“There is no bad weather, there’s only bad garments” – that’s what they say. Actually, with some wellies on, going outdoors catching raindrops and splashing in puddles can be great fun. "Welly-hikes" for families start directly at our hotel – in addition, the fairytale path can also be explored in inclement weather. Indoor high ropes course
Only 10 minutes by car and easily reachable by bus, you will find an indoor climbing course in Ramsau. The children can enjoy climbing on the high ropes course with four different courses for mini-kids (from 3 years) to the 6 metre high course with different difficulty levels for everyone else. Many other games and challenges can be enjoyed here, too. The children’s course: it is not for children under 115cm (mini-course) or 140cm; plus only with parental guidance (max. 3 children per adult). Reservations only for groups of a minimum of 10 people, otherwise just drop in according to available places.
For little miners
Miner experience and tunnel walk in Obertal
Ever Wednesday children are able to experience a tourist mine in case of bad weather. Meeting point 10am at the Holdalm in Obertal. A lot about miners will be told here. We go through a tourist mine, play games and are listening to myths. Every child can mint his or her own souvenir coin. You will get further information on this bad weather tip with the active programme for children or just ask our team.

Every Thursday, the children’s activity programme team organises visits to a bakery. The baker will make delicious dough and we form different cookies and decorate them. Afterwards, of course we taste our “work”. Meeting point 10am at the Lasser bakery in Erzherzog Johann Street in Schladming.

Drilling, hammering, sawing ... as much as you can. Under the expert’s guidance some small art pieces will be created such as cars, cubes, figures and abstract buildings. Children can get to know the organic material of wood and just let their fantasy run wild. Try this extraordinary holiday experience and make your own personal souvenir. Meeting point: 2pm – 5pm at the Breitler joinery on the Planai. This activity is very popular, so please make sure to make a reservation in advance – because in case of bad weather the handicraft will take place indoors, where a limited amount of participants is allowed.

Near the Rohrmooserhof Hotel in Untertal there is a children’s adventure meadow – Walshäusl Alp. Very nice excursion destination for sunny days but also in case of not so sunny weather. You will always have the opportunity to enjoy fishing and a snack in the hut.

Adventure castle Hohenwerfen
Around 30 minutes by car from the Rohrmooserhof Hotel, there is one of the most beautiful castles in Salzburgerland. The Hohenwerfen castle! Guided walks through the castle. Duration approx. 50-60 minutes. Castle guides are dressed in medieval knave costumes. Special events are held there on some weekends like the medieval festival, falconry exhibitions, etc...
